Weaving the wisdom of yoga into YOUR path of recovery
Tantuvaya
The Sanskrit word Tantuvaya means “weaver” or “one who weaves” and comes from:
“Tantu” – thread, fiber, strand, continuum
“Vaya” - one who weaves or works with threads
At the heart of Tantuvaya Yoga Therapy is a simple belief: healing and recovery happens when we reconnect with our bodies, our breath, and the natural world.
why yoga THERAPY and recovery?
Sobriety doesn’t magically give you a better life.
Recovery is the journey to building a life you don’t want to escape. Our addictions are an escape hatch. When you choose to get sober, you no longer have those coping mechanisms, so you actually have to learn to deal with the way you’ve been living, and the relationships and old habit patterns that no longer serve you. Yoga opens the doorway to healing, to self-reflection and the slow and sacred work of loving yourself back into wholeness. Yoga changes not just your body, but also your relationship to yourself, your emotions, your cravings and your capacity to be present for your life.
Yoga Therapy is a personalized, one-on-one approach that uses the tools of yoga, including mindful movement, breath work, meditation and nature based practices to support healing, resilience, and overall well-being. Rather than treating symptoms alone, yoga therapy addresses the whole person, helping you reconnect with your body's wisdom and cultivate lasting balance in mind, body, and spirit.
Working together we will weave together the principles and practices of yoga with the teachings of modern recovery programs to create the foundation for a full and vibrant life.
